Floriade is Canberra’s own celebration of Spring. People travel far and wide to experience this gorgeous event filled with flower art and an entire calendar of entertainment.
Every year the event grows and finds new ways to flourish. Themes, workshops, producers, vendors, celebrities, food more. Lots of reasons for visitors to stay longer and keep coming back year after year.
This year, Floriade turns 30 and the theme is Rejuvenation. Complete with warmer weather, Spring brings renewal, revival, growth and change. The event welcomes a reinvigoration and transformation of flowers, gardens, health and wellbeing.

Floriade is putting on a few big highlights for it’s milestone 30th year and we think these are not to be missed:
Dog’s Day Out
Saturday 14 October
Take your puppies for a day out amongst the blooms. There will be a free photo booth (cute!), delicious delicacies at the Pooch Café for them to chow down on, a best dressed pup competition, markets full of accessories for your pooch, activities, demonstrations and more!
Lady Larissa – Styling flowers and food workshops
A well-known local florist, Larissa Hrstic will be presenting market to home floral demonstations for free. Using a unique Australian and English influence, you will be able to learn tips and tricks on purchasing and flower care through to creating your own floral masterpieces at home.
Kat Snowden – Drop in body scrub session
Delight your senses in a Clean Slate Skin Care workshop. Taking you through the process involved to make your own products at home, Kat Snowden will use her background in aromatherapy and cosmetic chemistry to guide you through making your own creations and learning along the way.
Performing on stage 88, Will Campbell will provide tunes for your listening pleasure on Monday 18 Sep, Tuesday 26 Sep, Thursday 5 Oct and Friday 13 Oct. Along with other fantastic musicians, these glorious sounds will play backdrop to a glorious day out in the sunshine.
Another highlight for us, as with every year are the pop-up performances by Play and roaming entertainment by Oddball. It’s a truly fantastic experience. And for those feeling nostalgic about the 30th anniversary, grab a Fairy Floss and jump on the Ferris wheel to bring back all those childhood feels.
