Places for a Ladies Lunch according to Canberra locals

A ladies lunch is a favoured bonding experience filled with exceptional food, flowing cocktails (wine, rosé or gin & tonic… whatever tipple you fancy, really) and scintillating conversation (read: gossip).

Perfect for all occasions, or just because. The girls are always on the look out for the most accommodating venue, hitting all three must-haves above and above all, who welcome the often loud, but joyful stayers.

These Canberra ladies share their go-to places, just in time for the weekend…

KIMBERLEY SARA, THE STYLE SIDE

I love New Acton for the vibe and I also love EIGHTY/TWENTY Braddon for easy catch up’s over healthy meals.

Eighty/Twenty is a modern cafe with black tiles and copper lamps, for wholefood-focused dishes, smoothies and treats. They know one size does not fit all, and that everybody benefits from clean, natural and unprocessed wholefoods.

LAZY SU

A late night Asian eating-house in the heart of Braddon, Lazy Su is a fusion of Japanese, Korean and American bursting with atmosphere and a menu designed to share.

AGOSTINIS

Located in the East Hotel, it’s the perfect spot to go if you want to enjoy good food and good company. An authentic Italian restaurant with an eclectic and modern feel.

SIANNE FIZTSIMONS, THE LAB

If by ladies lunch you mean massive feast I love POLLEN. Surrounded by flowers by our fave Lady Larissa and in the middle of the vast greenery and walking paths of the Botanic gardens. Also amazing for breakfast the scrambled eggs – to die for!

Nestled within the Botanic Gardens, Pollen is also open for lunch and dinner.

ONA MANUKA

They pride themselves on making a pretty mean brew and fantastic food. With three locations in Canberra, Manuka is a popular delight. Having recently closed for a refurb, Ona on the Lawns is looking more gorgeous than ever with a brighter and greener appearance.
