Home décor accounts we love on Instagram

Instagram is filled with home décor inspiration from stylist, builders, designers and retailers.

We love to check out these insta feeds to ignite ideas and examples of ways that new season pieces can be styled in the home. A lot of the time you can walk into a store and be a little over whelmed by the new trends that you haven’t seen in any of your friends or families homes before, still, something tells you that you quite like it… but how would you ever be able to make that work with your current furniture?

This bunch of influencers in the home décor realm are sure to help out with that, or inspire you to submit your application for the next series of The Block.

We love following these three friends who decided to ‘swap the boardroom for the building site’ and pursue their passion for renovating and building lives they loved. We adore the mix of content featured on this account from DIY projects, video tips and tricks, home styling and of course, family life behind the scenes of these busy mums.

A renovator and designer, Bec Douros starred on The Block with her hubby George in 2013. Since their stint on the show they launched their own company, Nectaar Building and Design where they offer new builds and renovations, kids bedroom styling, retail styling and fitouts, product styling for catalogues and more. Bec has also been affiliated with Adairs in the years since the show and offers her tips through articles and video diaries on their website blog.

Poppy Lane features gorgeous hand-made furniture and homewares in their stores based in Melbourne and Byron Bay. The style of each piece embodies either a boho vintage feel, and using top quality wares you can hold onto these purcheses forever… or just be inspired by them and the way they can be styled in the home and outdoor areas.

Sarah is an eclectic interior designer often featured in Belle Magazine and known for her geometric patterns and décor style. With over 14k followers on Instagram, Sarah has also become quite the influencer and brings a spotlight to creative entrepreneurs with more than one business or talent.

Editor at Large of Belle Magazine, Steve Cordony is a well-respected stylist of both interiors and events. Featuring many images that inspire him as well as work he has completed or collaborated on with the magazine, Steve has an sleek and elegant style you’ll be crushing on for home or entertaining inspo.

Gina Ciancio is a interior stylist and editor of her popular blog, The Style Curator. Through digital content, Gina has built a large following who love to learn about things from styling your kids bedrooms to getting your investment property ready for lease. We love the diversity of this blog and the way that Gina styles her own gorgeous home.  Plus Extra brownie points for being a Canberran – makes it even easier to source her style.
