Our favourite thing about this trend, apart from being fans of wearing pink, (especially on Wednesdays!) is that there are so many different shades of the colour and ways to nail this SS17 trend.
The runway was our reference when picking out our must-haves for the season, and we’ve covered it all from pretty pastels and neon brights to glittery accents and bold velvets.
THE TRENCH
A lightweight trench is perfect for spring, worn over your daily ensemble and if chosen in pink, sure to make a statement.
THE RUFFLE SKIRT
A lovely way to celebrate the season, we love a good ruffle and these are just the styles for a dressed up event. Like all ruffles, pair with a plain tee or blouse to give it the attention it deserves.
PINK ON PINK
We love the ability to be able to wear pink on pink, if you don’t feel totally yourself wearing the same hue from top to bottom, opt for each piece of your outfit in a different shade. Either way, this will make heads turn.
STATEMENT PANTS
Big, bright and bold – a pink pant is sure to make a statement especially if it has any kind of detail like the ones pictured. Balance the look by wearing neutral colours on your top, shoes and accessories.
TO WORK
A pant-suit, skirt or blazer injects the hues of pink trend into your work week and adds instant style to your outfit. Play it down to be office appropriate, especially if you work in a corporate job but playing with lighter shades and always making sure your shoes, accessories, bag and makeup is kept plain and in natural tones.
PINK AND RED, IT’S A THING NOW
Fashion used to tell us that ‘Pink and Red should never be said’… let alone WORN. But over the years designers have pushed the boundaries, and we do love a bit of a clash. These two tones actually make for the perfect collab on an outfit. A red lip or small accessory is a good place to start if you want to try out this trend.
