Beauty: How often do you clean out and replace your products?

I don’t know about you, but I have a tendency to hold onto my beauty products far past their life expectancy. Call me a make-up addict, but there’s a certain satisfaction in accumulating as much make-up as humanly possible, and I’m positive I’m not the only person who’s guilty of being a make-up hoarder.

Understandably it’s hard to part ways with your favourite beauty products, especially when they’ve cost you an arm and a leg, but trust me on this, your skin will be thanking you for the purge!

You might not know this but many of our favourite beauty products have a much shorter life expectancy then you might think, with these ‘off’ products causing damage to our eyes and skin.

Note that every products used by date will differ due to ingredients along with other variables such as the conditions you kept them in. For example, lipstick left in your melting hot car, eye shadow that you’ve applied with your fingers rather then a brush and mascara that you’ve lovingly shared with your gal-pals will have a shorter life expectancy to products that have sat in your cool dark sterile bathroom draw untouched.

But don’t worry babe, we’ve got you covered! Below we’ve created a little generalised cheat sheet so you can know when its time to part with your oh-so loved products *tears*.
