As the days get colder its hard not to just stay in and cosy up at home, without any intention of stepping foot outside. To help warm those winter blues, we’ve put together a list of upcoming events in Canberra to inspire you to still get out and about, and enjoy all Canberra has to offer during the gorgeous month of May.


Canberra Fashion Markets

If you’ve got a passion for fashion then these markets are the place for you! Held on Saturday the 5th of May, The Canberra Fashion Markets features an array of pre-loved clothes just waiting for you to explore.

With a vast range of jewellery, shoes, bags and more, there’s something for everyone.. Head down to Exhibition Park – you wont be disappointed!


The Cartier Exhibition

If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, we suggest you head to the National Gallery and feast your eyes on the Cartier Exhibition. This exhibition is running until the 22nd of July and is definitely one to see.

The exhibition displays a stunning array of Cartier jewels from across the globe with a spotlight being shone on a range from the Royal Collection that features the Queen’s Halo tiara that was worn by Kate Middleton on her wedding day. This piece is sure to reduce the FOMO from the impending nupitals of Harry & Megan.


Raiders Home Games

If you’re a rugby league fan, you’re going to love that the Raiders have 3 home games this month… and The Duxton in O’Conner is offering a meal deal + all inclusive ticket. You can grab the crew, enjoy a delicious meal before game and if you feel like a few bevvies to keep you warm, just hop on the free shuttle bus to be dropped of at GIO Stadium and returned!

The Handmade Markets

Be spoilt for choice at these amazing markets that features lots of handmade goodies crafted by talent from far and wide across Australia. This edition of the hand-made markets is held the weekend before Mother’s Day, so you can shop for the perfect gift for the special ladies in your life.

Held across the 5th and 6th of May and is free to enter. So whether you’re looking to shop the day away, or window shop, you can head down to Exhibition Park from 10am to 4pm for a nice day out in Canberra.
