7 apps we love

We thought it was about time to do an app-tox and really get down to the nitty gritty of which apps are actually serving us a purpose, and which are wasting our time and cloud space…

Each of the following 7 apps are perfect for organisation, exercise, savings, entertaining, fun, smart and healthy. The perfect mix if you do insist on being stuck to your phone for the most part of the day (like us; #guilty).

So what are you waiting for? Go through your apps and get rid of anything you don’t use, or waste too much time on (games etc.) and check these out:

You’ve probably seen those posts on Instagram that have that have a cool vintage vibe, with the pictures looking like they’ve been taken on an analog camera and developed in a dark room. If you want to create this kind of look for your images on the gram then CALLA is the app for you. With paid and free options available, this app is #instagoals.

Your go-to place for throwback, and new tunes alike. Spotify is every music lovers dream. Download the app and create the perfect playlist for any occasion. With the ability to follow your friends, discover new music and even listen to some of your favourite podcasts, Spotify is a must-have.

If your winter goal is to get fit and healthy, look no further then MyFitnessPal. This app, designed by Under Armor, is like a personal trainer in your pocket. This money management app is ideal for anyone who wants to get his or her finances in check, or even just save for a dream holiday or new car. Pocketbook allows users to track and pay bills, record receipts, create and stick to a budget and lots more!

Another app for those who are feeling a bit nostalgic, HUJI takes users back to the good old day of disposable cameras. When you open this app your screen transforms to the look of an old disposable camera. Once you snap a picture, it is given a timestamp and looks as though it was taken in the 90’s. We love it!

The ideal app for an aspiring mixologist, Highball allows users to share and collect new cocktail recipes. The app allows you to not only edit and store you’re favorite recipes, but also share your creations with friends and family on social media.

You could say that we saved the best for last. Headspace is the perfect app to help you de-stress and relax. Why not set aside a few hours a day and focus on your mental health and wellbeing.
