Startup Success: Frank Body

Our new startup success series is here to cover some absolutely kickass businesses around the globe that have made a huge impact and completely filled our inspiration cups. What’s better for the drive than hearing about how savvy entrepreneurs have taken their creative ideas to the top?

First off the bat, we’ve got Frank Body (@frank_bod on Insta). The Australian beauty brand that started off with one gorgeous coffee scrub!

Founded by two Melbourne ladies, Jess Hatzis and Bree Johnson, said they started the company with just $5,000! Now, they say the brand, which has added a full list of products, earns over 20 million in revenue each year!

Frank quickly became a million dollar success within only a year of business and from the outside looking in we know this was because of the marketing strategies put in place from the start. A stand out difference for the brand was the way they made Frank a character. He is pretty sleezy, loves all women and promotes getting dirty in the shower… But nevertheless, it worked, babe!

From the minute you received your brightly coloured package in the mail with its hilarious inappropriate slogans you were hooked. And anyone who saw the package was instantly intrigued with “what the hell is inside that?”.

The product flew out the digital doors, and it wasn’t long before the unique hashtags #frankeffect and #letsbefrank were firing up with pictures of customers sharing selfies of themselves covered in the scrub.

Every product is under $25 making it affordable for the every day lady and the use of natural and naturally derived ingredients makes it a no brainer for any skin type.
