To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before (2018)

This hit Netflix film, shouldn’t need an explanation; but if you haven’t seen it, Lana Condor stars at Lara Jean whose secret love letters to her past crushes are accidentally sent out without her knowledge, she must then deal with the humiliating, yet surprising results. Also starring upcoming heart-throb Noah Centineo (Peter Kavinsky) and PLL alumni, Janel Parrish (Margot Condor).

Starring two Aussie stars (Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth), this feel-good romantic comedy follows a girl named Natalie living in New York working as an architect. Always cynical about love, Natalie’s worst nightmare soon comes true when she suddenly discovers that she’s playing the leading lady in a real-life romantic comedy.


This Means War (2012)

Chris Pine and Tom Hardy in the same movie should be more than enough reason to watch this flick. Starring as skilled CIA agents, war is waged when they find out they’ve been seeing the same woman (Reese Witherspoon).

The Ugly Truth (2009)

Rom-com veteran Katherine Heigl stars as an uptight, love-challenged TV producer, whose romantic life is turned upside down by a misogynistic man (Gerard Butler) who thinks he knows everything woman want.

The Holiday (2006)

An all-star cast of Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black; two women with guy troubles swap their lives in each other’s countries and fall in love and friendship along the way. In case this isn’t enough it gets bonus points for also being a Christmas movie – who doesn’t want love for Christmas?!

The Proposal (2009)

Sandra Bullock stars as an overbearing boss facing deportation from the US for overstaying her visa. To prevent this, she forces her assistant (played by Ryan Reynolds) to marry her and some hilarious drama ensues.

Are We Officially Dating (2014)

Also known as That Awkward Moment, Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan star as three best friends who’ve made a pact to stay single together and live it up… Cue their dream women to enter their lives and make things complicated.

The Sweetest Thing (2002)

Three best friends (Cameron Diaz, Selma Blair and Christina Applegate) who are trying to understand the meaning of love leading them to take a wild road trip to hunt down Mr Right.

It’s Complicated (2009)

Meryl Streep starts alongside Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin where a couple reignites their long-lost spark. The catch? They’re divorced and he’s remarried.

P.S I Love You (2007)

The ultimate tearjerker. Holly (Hilary Swank) is a widow who discovers her husband (Gerard Butler) has left her love letters to help her ease into a life without him. A story of rediscovery, love, friendship and new beginnings. SPOILER – it’s just be announced there will be a sequel so may be best to purchase a second box of tissues.
