Canberra Balloon Spectacular

7-15 March

As part of the Enlighten festival, enjoy waking up to over 25 hot air balloons soaring over Canberra. Head to the lawns of Old Parliament House to enjoy some hot coffee and breakfast and watch the pilots get set up, or for a real treat, book a ticket and take a ride in one of the balloons for epic views of Canberra.

Canberra Racing Carnival

8-9 March

Get your gal pals and get your outfit and tan sorted, the Canberra Racing Festival is on again over the March long weekend. Spend Sunday at Thoroughbred Park enjoying the Black Opal Stakes Day and then back it up on Monday with the Canberra Cup! A celebration of fashion, live music, entertainment and of course world-class racing, the races are a fabulous way to spend a long weekend.

Canberra Comedy Festival Gala

17 March

The 2020 Canberra Comedy Festival Gala kicks off in March with a huge line-up of comedians over two-hours from local, national and international comedy superstars. These nights are always super popular so make sure you secure your tickets! If you have a particular favourite comedian, check out the schedule on the Canberra Theatre Centre and book tickets to their individual show.

Handmade Market Canberra

21-22 March

The first Handmade Market for this year is on with stacks of new retailers and a fresh new brand! The markets showcase over 270 Australian made designers/producers with all products designed and made in Australia. You’ll find everything and more at the markets, including some delicious local food vendors!
