The return of Sky Whale

Oh yes its back and this time it’s brought friends. Patricia Paccini’s Skywhale will be returning to our Skys with her all new friend SkywhalePapa expected to be even larger. They will be making their trip across the Canberra sky’s at 5:30am on February 7th and again in March and April. Tickets have sold out to the actual event but the sculptures can still be seen by the lake with a coffee in hand to get you through the early start.

CBR Fair

The Canberra Fair is ready to flourish with a 2 day Summer Fair celebration – Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 February. Previously Canberra Wedding fair the event will offer a weekend of fashion, wedding, event and travel inspo in addition to onsite wellness workshops. If we can’t go to Italy than absolutely we will live out our gondola and wine dreams on Lake Burley Griffin. Lead by an expert guide enjoy our lake as you have never seen it before with delicious local canapés in one hand and sampling cool climate wines, with the other. Just don’t forget you will still need to help paddle home.

Banksia Serrata in Water Colour Workshop

Celebrate the art of botanical painting in this 2 day workshop and create your own Banksia serrata artwork with experienced botanical artist from Melbourne, David Reynolds! If you see yourself as a closet artist you will be able to learn the techniques used to create a beautiful Banksia study with step by step demonstrations and careful planning. Each student will be guided through the process, ensuring confidence to complete a banksia study. Students will learn to hone the techniques necessary for ‘accurate realism’.
