After the year that it’s been, now more than ever it’s important to spend time with your loved ones, kick back and enjoy some festive cocktails together.

Whether you want traditional Christmas drinks, non-traditional flavours or something fun for New Years Eve, check out 7 of our top picks to perfect this holiday season.

Guilt Free Margaritas

These 80 cal margaritas will make you feel a little less guilty about over indulging on your food this season.

Juice of 15 limes (about 2 cups)

30ml añejo tequila

30ml dark agave syrup

1/4 tsp. dark agave syrup for edge

6 strip orange zest

12 fresh mint leaves

1/2 tsp. Sea salt

34 ice cubes


In a large pitcher, combine lime juice, tequila, and agave syrup. Rub each old-fashioned glass rim with 1 orange zest strip, then place zest in glass. Put 1/4 teaspoon agave in a small bowl and combine mint and salt on a small plate. Dip your finger in syrup and rub along glass rims. Dip glasses in mint-salt mixture to coat rims. Put 4 ice cubes in each glass.

Place 5 ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Pour half the lime-tequila mixture into shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into 3 glasses. Repeat with remaining ice cubes and lime-tequila mixture.

Slow Cooker Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Mint and chocolate, it’s a classic combination. Level it up and make it the perfect boozy festive treat. 


1 cup milk

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup crème de menthe or vodka

1 tbsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. peppermint extract

1/4 tsp. salt

Sweetened whipped cream

Crushed candy canes


Place the milk, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, crème de menthe (or vodka), vanilla extract, peppermint extract, and salt in a small slow cooker.

Cover and cook on high 2 hours or until combined, whisking vigorously halfway through to help chocolate melt.

Switch to warm for serving. Set out whipped cream and crushed candy canes, for topping.

Boozy Butterbeer Punch

One for the Harry Potter fans out there! Butterbeer is always mentioned in celebrations in the world of Harry Potter, so why not bring some magic into your night with a classic wizarding cocktail?


For the Whipped Toppings

2 cups heavy cream

2 tbsp. packed brown sugar

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

2 tbsp. melted butter

Raw sugar, for garnish

Butterscotch syrup, for garnish

For the Punch

6 cans cream soda

3 cans seltzer

750ml. vanilla vodka


In a large bowl, combine cream, brown sugar and vanilla. Using a hand mixer, whip until soft peaks form. Fold in melted butter and set aside.

In a punch bowl, combine cream soda, seltzer, and vodka. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of raw sugar. Drizzle butterscotch syrup on rim of mugs. Serve punch and top with additional sanding sugar and butterscotch syrup, if desired.

Elderflower Ginger Fizz

This is one cocktail that would be a super fancy addition to your party.


45ml St-Germain

30ml ginger syrup

15ml lemon juice

120ml Champagne

2 maraschino cherries


Pour the St-Germain into a Champagne flute.

Add the ginger syrup and lemon juice and stir to combine.

Top with Champagne and garnish with the maraschino cherries.

Moscow Mule

This refreshing drink will be the perfect accompaniment to those hot summer afternoons!



60ml vodka

30ml fresh lime juice

375ml can ginger beer

Fresh mint, for garnish

Lime wedges, for garnish


Fill two copper mugs with ice. Pour 30ml vodka and 15ml lime juice over ice in each mug. Pour ginger beer into each cup until mostly full. Stir. 

Garnish with mint and lime wedge to serve.

Candy Cane Jell-O Shots

Who doesn’t love a good jell-o shot? Take a fun twist on the popular Christmas cane with these candy cane jello-shots.


For Red Layer

2 packs cherry Jelly crystals

1 1/2 cup boiling water

1/2 cup vodka

For White Layer

1 cup vodka

2 tsp gelatin

1 cup boiling water

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Crushed candy canes, for garnish


Spray a small loaf pan with cooking spray. In a large bowl or measuring cup, combine cherry Jelly with boiling water and whisk to combine. Let sit 2 minutes, then whisk in 1/2 cup vodka. Set aside.

In another large bowl or measuring cup, combine 1 cup vodka and gelatin and let sit 2 minutes. Add water and stir until gelatin dissolves completely. Pour in sweetened condensed milk and whisk to combine.

Pour half of the red mixture, about 1 cup into loaf pan. Freeze 20minutes until firm and add 1 cup of the white mixture. Repeat twice more, letting firm 20 minutes between each addition until you have four layers, then refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Remove from loaf pan and cut into squares. Top with crushed candy canes and serve.
